Just when I thought I had it all figured out my life changed and so did my thought process. After spending so much time trying to get this site perfect I realized I wasted too much time and nothing got accomplished. I decided to put Fabulous Mommys on hold and just work on being a mommy a little less fabulously. Sitting around watching the years fly by I realize that I can and should be doing so much more for myself. Also realizing that I have these girls who are watching my every move that it was time to get refocused and get back to me. So after feeling defeated many days and giving up on my dreams I finally mustered up enough confidence and motivation to get going again. Something keeps calling me back to doing this so there must be an underlying message in it. I hear you God and I'm acting on it! I present to you Fabulous Mommys 2.0. In my opinion it is better than before and more personal. I’m allowing you guys into my life in hopes of helping to inspire someone. We all have a story to tell and I’m ready to share amongst girlfriends.
To start I am a mother to 4 beautiful girls, Raegan, Jordyn, Kayla and Ashliy, 1 fur baby, Tootie and a wife to Ron. I take great joy in being a home maker and tending to my family but like most of you moms I have neglected myself. I have set my dreams and goals aside to take care of everyone else and for a while that was okay but recently a good friend told me I was more than a mom and at first I took offense to that because I am a mom and I love being a mom so what’s so wrong with that? The answer is absolutely nothing but not pursuing my own dreams while encouraging everyone else to, is definitely an issue. How can I look my girls in their eyes and tell them to chase their dreams meanwhile I’m sitting back not following my own advice. I AM a wife and a mom. I AM a strong woman and entrepreneur. I AM a mom of 4 beautiful girls. Raising them to be Queens. I’m NOT a perfect parent but that’s perfectly fine. I make mistakes like the rest of you and I don’t claim to know it all. We’re here to help one another. I feel there is a need that I can provide to women and I’m hoping to fill the void in your life. Join me on this crazy ride!

Hello, I'm Nakeiya!I decided to start Fabulous Mommys to help women and mothers throughout their journey of motherhood. Everyone's journey is not the same although we share similarities. One thing for certain is we ALL need a village and I strive to provide just that through education, tips and resources to help our village along. Moming isn't always easy or fabulous but it is rewarding. Some days I feel like Beyonce when I wake up and by the end of the day I look and feel like a hurricane hit me. Join me as I share my own stories, some recipes and fun! |
